Building a Compassionate Malaysia:

Empowering the Next Generation of Animal Guardians

Welcome to the Animal Care Education (ACE) program, a core initiative of the Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation (MNAWF) dedicated to fostering a more caring and responsible Malaysian society.

Our mission is simple yet vital: to build a community that is profoundly informed and actively engaged in promoting the welfare and care of all animals. Through targeted, age-appropriate educational programs, ACE seeks to cultivate:

  •  Responsible Pet Ownership: Guiding the community, pet owners and livestock business managers to make conscious, ethical, and humane choices.
  • Adoption Over Purchase: Championing shelter adoption as the preferred, humane way to welcome a companion animal into your home.
  • Universal Animal Conservation: Instilling a commitment to animal conservation across all species, regardless of belief or background.
  • Future Veterinary & Animal health Professionals: Inspiring and supporting the next generation to pursue careers in veterinary sciences, animal health and animal welfare.

Join us in creating a Malaysia where every animal is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity. Education is the first step to change—and together, we can change the world for the animals.

What We Do: Empowering Through Education

Knowledge is the first step toward compassion.

The Animal Care Education (ACE) program is MNAWF’s flagship initiative designed to bridge the gap between awareness and action. We believe that by educating the public—from young children to industry professionals—we can systematically eliminate animal cruelty and neglect at its root.

Our Strategy for Lasting Change
To create a society that respects all living creatures, our program focuses on three key pillars:

Awareness: Helping the public understand the physical and emotional needs of animals.

Skill-Building: Providing practical resources for the ethical management of companion, farmed, and wild animals.

Prevention
: Cultivating a culture of responsibility to stop neglect before it begins.

A Collaborative Effort
The ACE program is not a solo journey. Our curriculum and resources are developed in close partnership with:

  • The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS)
  • Professional Veterinarians & Animal Health Technicians
  • Academic Educators & Research Agencies
