MNAWF
Animal Care Education
Welcome to the Animal Care Education (ACE) program, a core initiative of the Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation (MNAWF) dedicated to fostering a more caring and responsible Malaysian society.
Our mission is simple yet vital: to build a community that is profoundly informed and actively engaged in promoting the welfare and care of all animals. Through targeted, age-appropriate educational programs, ACE seeks to cultivate:
- Responsible Pet Ownership: Guiding the community, pet owners and livestock business managers to make conscious, ethical, and humane choices.
- Adoption Over Purchase: Championing shelter adoption as the preferred, humane way to welcome a companion animal into your home.
- Universal Animal Conservation: Instilling a commitment to animal conservation across all species, regardless of belief or background.
- Future Veterinary & Animal health Professionals: Inspiring and supporting the next generation to pursue careers in veterinary sciences, animal health and animal welfare.
Join us in creating a Malaysia where every animal is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity. Education is the first step to change—and together, we can change the world for the animals.
What We Do
YOU CAN NOW LEARN MORE ABOUT ANIMAL CARE ON THIS SITE
This section is designed to support animal welfare education for young people and the general public, while fostering respect, understanding, and compassion for all living creatures. We believe education is the key to creating lasting change. Our primary aim is to encourage responsible behavior toward animals, ultimately preventing cruelty and neglect in the long term.
To achieve this, MNAWF has launched the ACE (Animal Care Education) program. ACE provides resources for educators, students, and the public to help develop the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the welfare of companion, farmed, and wild animals. We also wish to thank the veterinarians, animal health technicians, educators, the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), and other agencies who have collaborated to make this endeavor a reality.
